Close to Rodia to the northwest at an altitude of 440 m. you will find the Savvathiani Convent, situated in a beautiful valley, among dense vegetation and cultivated gardens. The monastery is surrounded be steep imposing cliffs, which enable nuns to live an isolated and serene monastic life. The convent was initially a monastery for men dedicated to the Nativity of Our Lady. There is a 16th century old bridge near the convent and on the other side of the valley you can visit the 15th century church of Saint Antony.
