Overview

Apikia village is 5km west of Chora. It is a green graphic village, worth to visit, as here is ";Sariza"; the homonym water bottling company and other smaller sanative founts with therapeutic properties.  Apikia is built in a beautiful location. It is ideal for ambulatory routes. In close distance you will see the small village Stenies, full of trees.

Fruit trees surround this small traditional settlement. In Stenies you will see the Castle of Bistis. A three-storey building of the 17th century. Here you will see the biggest watermill in Valcania that functioned until 1963.
In location Pithagora you will see an exotic scenery. Small waterfalls, lakes and ashlar rocks compose the magnificence of the region.

While staying in Apikia, visit the monasteries of the region. Like Saint Nikolaos with the fine wooden temple and the monastery of Saint Marina with priceless ecclesiastic heirlooms. In Apikia you will dine in taverns serving traditional recipes. If you want to extend your stay there are hotels and rooms to let in the region.
