Overview

Called Nios by the locals, Ios for the rest of us, that picturesque cycladic island is one of the Aegean's small diamonds. The white colour of its houses ties up harmoniously with the light blue of the sky and the deep blue of Aegean Sea.
Ios is considered to be the meeting point of world's youth. It's a place of unending joy and fun. Nevertheless it is able to provide calm and peaceful vacations to anyone who seeks for that.
The harbour of Ios, Ormos, is located at the western side of the island. Among its white houses dominates the church of Ayia Erini, while in a small distance is the Koumbara place, where you can enjoy the marvelous sunset of Ios.

The capital of the island is called Ios as well. It is unfold at the one side of the hill, totally white with just some colour spoils of light blue, those of its churches' belfries. As in all the Cycladic islands, thus and here, you will find the ruins of a Medieval Castle and many small Churches (Agios Georgios, Jesus Christ and Agios Nicolaos). At the end of the Capital you can see the line of the 12 windmills.
