Overview

Karteros is located on the north side of the prefecture, 7km away from Heraklion.  Karteros, along with Amnisos, Vathianos Kampos and Kokini Chani, are the most well-organized tourist resorts in the island. They always attract big crowds and most people come back every year, impressed with the hospitality, the beautiful beaches and the fresh fish at the picturesque taverns.
