Overview

This little village is situated in the province of Viannos on the south coast near to Myrtos and Ierapetra 85 km from Heraklion, on the shores of the Libyan Sea. The climate is especially warm, and the average yearly temperature is 20 celsius.

The area is untouched by tourism. Local people from the neighbour village Kalami near to Psari Forada, built summer resorts here and used it as a base for fishing, thus forming a small community.

The locals earn their living mainly from farming and in particular banana and tomato production, as the climate is very warm (even in the winter)

There is a open area, where there are taverns and café bars, where you can enjoy the view out to the sea.
The quiet life in the village is ideal for the visitors who wish to relax.
