Overview

Situated at the southern part of "Thesprotia" prefecture, opposite the southern end of Corfu island, the community of Perdika is made up of Perdika itself and a much smaller village called Arillas totalling a population of about 2000 people who are mainly involved in olive-oil production as well as tourism in the past few years. There are a lot of emigrants mainly in Germany and Belgium as well as a number of people who, originating in Perdika, live and work in Athens.

You can reach it by turning left off the main Athens to Igoumenitsa road at Karteri (point 2 on the map) into a 12km road through the mountains (fastest route). Alternatively, if you are coming from Igoumenitsa, you can turn right at Plataria (3) and head for Perdika through Syvota or, if you are coming from Athens, turn left to Parga (1) and drive through the villages Anthousa and Agia.
