Overview

The municipality of New Moydania consists of about 6.000 residents. It was founded in 1922, after Mikra Asia's destruction of refugees that emanated primarily from Moudania of M. Asia. The place that was founded was uninhabited and swampy before the installation.

New Moudania has one of the biggest productions of gevros in the Mediterranean (more than 20.000 tons annually). New Moudania has beautiful beaches and clean waters and in the city someone can find shops that satisfy even the most demanding purchaser. Tourists can also find football, tennis and mini golf fields.
