Overview

The capital of the island, coastal Samos, is united with neighbouring Vathy, built amphitheatrically on the green sides of the hills, invites its visitors to walk its stone paths and explore its traditional architecture. Admire the mansion houses that justify the greatness of old times, watch at the small houses and the famous Lion Statue of Pythagoras Square. Visit the Archaeological and the Byzantine-Ecclesiastical Museum, the "Vouleftirion", the Palace of Justice, the Killed Soldiers' Monument and Samos Garden. At the Town Hall is the Art Gallery with portraits of fighters and souvereigns, as well as the Constitution of Samos.
