Overview

Gialos or Magazia is located north of Chora and it is one of the most important tourist resorts in Skyros. It is the first settlement built under Chora and it is a district of the capital. Gialos distinguishes for its romance and beautiful beach. Here you will find hotels of all categories and rooms to let.

The endless beach is highly organized and provides the possibility for water sports and games. The region is inhabited since ancient times and is of great historic interest. The archaeological excavations brought into light graves dated from the 9th -; 10th century BC.
