Overview
The island of Evia has many beauties and that's why it attracts a lot of visitors. It is linked with the Central Greece through the bridge of strait of Evripos. Island with rich history and important culture, is constituted by tall mountains and plains, rivers and sources, graphic villages, cosmopolitan resorts, but also solitary beaches. Evia is the second island in extend in our country (3.850 s. km.) after Crete. Morphological elements testify that Evia in a period of seismic and geological realignment was extracted from the Central Greece. It is stretched out from the Pagasitikos gulf to Andros and at length of Viotia and Attica. The Evripos Sea separates Evia from Viotia and Attica, while the narrower point in the strait of Evripos has width hardly 40 metres.
